Hone’s Diary | 19 June (Sunday)
Posted on June 20, 2011 by admin in KoreroI hope you saw 7 DAYS (TV3 on demand). It was a lot of fun. Same with the re-opening of the Lola Bar. Not my normal hangout, but that’s where the whanau are at so that’s me too.
Friday I went out west to see the MANA RATANA convoy off as they headed up to Kaitaia and back. They did a bloody awesome job and were well received right throughout the territory. I am humbled by their support.
That night we shot MARAE (TVNZ on demand) and I laid down some solid markers about employment and education. Both analysts gave me the win (again).
Saturday I saw the Waitakere crew off before they went canvassing, then on the way home we stopped off in Kohukohu to see heaps of kaumatua and kuia at a Matariki do. Had to siphon some gas to get home for my girl’s birthday – awesome feed!
Sunday I blogged out with the mokos while the rangatahi went door-knocking.
Monday I’ll do Radio NZ, then canvassing out West, catch some voters and then Te Karere in the afternoon before we crash for the night.
Tuesday I’m street walkin’ in Kaikohe at lunchtime, a debate in Kaitaia in the afternoon and a radio show at night.
And don’t be surprised if things change as the week goes on !!!
