Dr Peter Cleave was born and raised in South Auckland. He was educated at Manurewa Primary and High Schools, and Auckland and Oxford Universities.
Dr Cleave has specialized in iwi development and has spent the last twelve years working with Rangitaane o Manawatu having worked for other iwi over time.
Dr Cleave brings considerable political experience to the Mana Movement having run many campaigns in the Waikato and elsewhere over many years.
Dr Cleave speaks Maori and English as well as some Japanese. He brings communications expertise to the Mana Movement having worked in radio and media for many years.
Dr Cleave has a strong interest in sports especially Rugby League and Rugby Union. He is the Master of Ceremonies for many sporting events including Golden Gloves boxing.
Dr Cleave sees the Mana Movement as a movement of real hope for Aotearoa and looks forward to taking the policies of the Mana Movement to the Rangitikei electorate.
