Post Author September 21, 2014 at 1:07 amHello Skye,
I am very sorry to see how this whole election has turned out.
I watched the screen and results very carefully, as maths is one of my favourite subjects I can detect immediately if numbers don’t add up.
The numbers did not add up tonight on John Campbell’s show and that is why Nationals numbers were so high.
For Te Tai Tokerau Kelvin was 8,000, Hone was 7 thousand, 3rd was 2,000, 4th was 320. These are approximate. The percentages they gave were 34%: 17%: 15% and10% I knew they were wrong.
For Ikaroa Rawhiti Meka was 8,000: Te Hamua was 4,000: 3rd was 3,000: 4th was1,000. The percentages they gave were 47%, 12%: 11% and 10%. 12% for Te Hamua was so wrong!! It looks to me that they were deliberately keeping your percentages down. I would strongly recommend a recount, these figures were towards the end, I would think they were doing this all night, because I picked it up with other counts.
For Napier our man got 14,000. National got 49% of that vote and Labour got 25%. This result came up more than once actually that’s when I started looking harder at the figures. I will be contacting Labour about it, Also Jacinda got a much lower percentage. Also have to check on Wellington Central, Hutt and Port Hills. They need to be checked out.
Kia Kaha and all the best, Marj Kuiper.
PS, If they try to say I got it wrong they are lying, I had 3 of my adult family here,if they say they had the right figures they would have changed them later.
