Harawira calls for apology from Labour
Posted on August 5, 2014 by admin in Hone Harawira, Press Releases“Yesterday I was shocked, dismayed and hurt, to hear that Kelvin Davis was secretly canvassing for funds from National to campaign against me” said MANA Leader and MP for Tai Tokerau, Hone Harawira.
“Today I am sad to hear that he refuses to acknowledge what he has done and refuses to apologise for his tactics”, said Harawira.
“We may be on different parties, but our people want this to be a campaign of ideas and values, our people do not want this to be the dirty and underhand campaign that Kelvin has made it into.”
“Since this story broke last night I have had heaps of calls from our people up north who are gutted by what Kelvin has done, and a lot of them are Labour voters.”
“Our people are really hurt by what Kelvin has done, and they are angry with him for not being man enough to apologise for it.”
“So I am asking the president of the Labour Party to issue an apology to my people in the Tai Tokerau for the dirty tricks campaign that Kelvin has been waging, and a formal declaration that it will not happen again.”

Alan Duff, previously as a NZ talkback radio host, would spiel “blame the victim” stuff, to a large audience but it was quite easy for me who had done science and medicine, to demonstrate for instance, that crazy “Jake the Muss” was made that way by the system. I hate maori bashing, that uses their poor health outcomes, against them.
Then Alan attacks the Dotcom-Harawira team saying they should be getting books to young maori and cease their protest.
In another sentence he seems to disparage french politicians as being quote ‘intellectuals’. Too much book reading then?
Alan’s own book reading must be so meagre that it really explains his irritating, stubborn, self-serving lack of reasoned discourse.

I know Sir Bob Jones is a boxing and footie fan, but it seems not a Maori language lover. I wonder what he makes of “God Defend New Zealand” our National Anthem, as sung for instance by Hayley Westenra, at the Rugby World Cup Final 2011.. She sang it first in Maori and then English and it became glorious unique!
And Wai te Mataa referring to obsidian glass. The ‘sparkling waters’ (a later translation of the meaning)[ of the harbour were said to glint like the volcanic glass prized by these early Maori arrivals to Auckland’s harbour.
Just two examples among many thousands, of the Maori language opening up magical vistas. Kia ora Bob. ie stay well or healthy and Kia kaha New Zealand ie stay strong.

Nanu is a new ad-supported app for Android that allows its users to call each other for free even if they use low-bandwidth 2G networks, while it also allows some calls to landlines and mobile numbers for no cost.
The app is available in the Google Play store since Monday and aims to avoid problems that users of other free call apps like Skype and Viber might encounter, the company said on its website.
Existing apps have two major problems, according to Nanu. “First, they struggle in congested 3G networks and just don’t work in 2G. Second, you can only call app-to-app for free. App-to-non app calls such as calls to landlines and mobile phones cost money,” the founders of Singapore-based Nanu said.
Nanu-to-Nanu calls are free, excluding the cost of the data connection. The calls consume about 100 kilobytes of data per minute, so when using the app on a 2G, 3G or 4G network, users may still have to pay data charges to their carrier.
The first million users will also get 15 minutes of Nanu to non-Nanu calls for free. These minutes can be used to call landlines in 41 countries including the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Australia and New Zealand

Singapore-based startup Gentay Communications launched a mobile app called nanu, vowing to eliminate phone bills forever.
Developed by the father-and-son team of Martin and Daniel Nygate, nanu takes advantage of ultra-low bandwidth technology that lets uses make quality calls even when only 2G connection is available. In fact, compared to Skype, the app requires about 80 percent less bandwidth to use.
At the same time, nanu also boasts of clearer calls because it does not rely solely on P2P networks which degrades quality as the call goes through different POPs before getting to the recipient. Instead, it runs on a different architecture that routes calls either through dedicated lines or P2P networks. Gentay Communications doesn’t want to elaborate on their technology but says it was developed originally for use with ship-to-shore voice communications that the maritime industry uses.
“Our mission is to eliminate the cost of phone calls, so our target market is anyone who doesn’t want to pay hefty phone bills anymore. We want to give free unlimited calls to everyone, everywhere…as we grow and start generating ad revenue, our mission is to expand that to free calls everywhere,” explained Nygate.
Revenues are collected by playing advertisements over a ringtone as a call is being connected. Once the recipient picks up, the advertisement stops so it doesn’t interfere with the call. A banner ad is also displayed on the caller’s screen which will redirect to a certain URL when chosen. The average time before calls are connected is seven seconds.
To help promote the app, Gentay Communications will be providing unlimited free calls between parties who are both nanu users. Calls to non-nanu users and landline numbers will also be free for the first 15 minutes but this promotion will only be available to the first one million users to download the app.
In theory, calls can be made to anywhere in the world, even when both parties do not use nanu. At the moment, however, the free minutes to landline numbers can only be used for 73 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, India, China and Australia.
Nygate also shares that only once a million subscribers have been reached will nanu generate ad revenue. Gentay Communications hopes to hit that target by the end of September, moving on to 15 million by the end of the year. By December 2015, the company hopes to have 150 million subscribers using nanu.
The app is only available on Android at the moment but nanu for iOS is in development and should be available in the next few months. Other platforms will follow.
………………
Google then “Nanu free calls” to find out more but sign up now to be in the first million. And it will take time before free calls are fully available and not just on Android phones.
All this helps towards beating Big Brother Govt and corporations
