Stop Israeli State Terror – Rally and March this Saturday 26th July, Aotea Square, 2pm
Posted on July 22, 2014 by admin in John Minto, Press ReleasesThe humanitarian crisis in Gaza is getting much worse and the world is marching in unprecedented numbers.
New Zealanders spoke out strongly last Saturday with a march of 5,000 people in Auckland (see picture below) – the biggest march ever in New Zealand in support of Palestinians – and ion other centres as well.
New Zealanders will rally and march again this Saturday from 2pm in Aotea Square.
With over 500 Palestinians killed in Gaza – most of them civilians – we are disgusted at the feeble comments from Foreign Minister Murray McCully and meaningless words of Prime Minister John Key. Key is happy to condemn those responsible for the airline tragedy in Ukraine but refuses to condemn Israeli state terror which has murdered hundreds more civilians in Gaza.
The New Zealand government must stop its one-sided pro-Israel stance, close the Israeli Embassy in Wellington, stop the special visa-free arrangement for young Israelis coming to New Zealand and boycott Israel.
This rally and march is being organised by:
- Palestine Solidarity Network
- Kia ora Gaza
- Palestine Human Rights Campaign
- Students for Justice in Palestine
- Global Peace and Justice Auckland

Post Author July 24, 2014 at 9:57 amI too would like to see the NZ Government condemn the Israeli Government’s massacre of civilians in Gaza. I am disappointed that they have not done so – are they afraid of offending the United States?
Will there be a similar march in Wellington? If so, I would like to join it.

Post Author July 28, 2014 at 5:23 pmOne thing is very clear in the Word of the Lord Jesus. We are to pray, bless and support Israel, regardless of what their motives are.
Why are we commanded to pray, bless and support Israel? Man is the creator of all other nations. GOD created the nation of Israel according to His minds eye.
Deuteronomy chapter 34 clearly states what GOD has done for the nation of Israel no other god(s) have ever accomplished such a feat and what we can learn from the chapter is this. GOD Word is irrefutable and solid fact. I stand my ground on this one, as Israel is the home of our LORD JESUS and His Kingdom will reside there in Jerusalem, once again.
I mourn for the people of Gaza and the innocent. However, Gaza is under evil tyrant leaders, whom supported the kidnapping of three teenage boys and assassinated them, this was June or May. And uses their own as human shields a heinous act. Whether we agree with their decision or not, regardless we are to support Israel as they have every right to defend themselves as any other nation would.
A bit of trivia for you. Did you know Australia/NZ was the only nations who supported Israel in World War 1, did you know that. And again in World War 2.
Psalm 122:6 KJV
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
HISTORY
Throughout its history Australia has had good international relations with Israel. Australian troops played a significant role as part of the British forces in the area in WW1, especially the Light Horse at the Battle of Beersheba. The ANZACs also contributed greatly in WWII. Australia was the first to vote in support of Israel at the UN Partition plan passed by the UN on November 29, 1947. Full diplomatic relations were officially established in 1949. Australia has had excellent trade relations with Israel and both sides of politics have supported Israel ever since. However, there has been a trend in the 21st century by many in Australian politics to reverse or weaken this long-standing relationship.
– cited: Israel policy statement journal 1984
From World War 1 Australia was a prosperous country, until the 70′s when Australia started turning it’s back on GOD. Then GOD lifted the prosperity from Australia due the the acceptance of general liberation according to the worlds view not GOD’s vision nor plan.
If I was Prime Minister of New Zealand. I would support Israel so my country can be blessed and prosperous in GOD’s mind eye. Because John Keys is not a Christian and for those who are not and will read my comment. This is the commandment of GOD. If New Zealand doesn’t support Israel then expect the country to crumble even further into financial ruin and turmoil.
I am Christian and again I say. I will stand strong in my stance. Whether people like it or not. I stand strong in GOD.

Post Author August 8, 2014 at 10:23 pmYou are barking at the wrong tree! Where is the rally against the Islamic State (ISIS) who PURPOSELY and SYSTEMATICALLY kill the religious minorities using barbaric methods and gloat over it! Where is your rally, John Minto and Mana? Are you scared?
Where is the rally against Hamas and other jihadists who use their own people as human shield? Why are you not standing up against them? Are you scared of offending them?
Bridgette says:
Post Author August 8, 2014 at 10:32 pmWhat?? Why don’t you get to know Hamas who use the Palestinians as their human shield so that they will have your sympathy. They are the murderers. If 3000 rockets are targeted against you, do you not fight back? If tunnels are purposely built by Hamas from Gaza purposely to infiltrate Israel, do you not expect Israel to do everything they can to protect their people? Civilians are killed from the Israeli attacks… yes, but they are not done on purpose. They are killed because Hamas fires among the Palestinians, in schools, in mosques. For Hamas, the more Palestinians killed the better so they can blame Israel and they can have the sympathy of the world.
This organisers are ignorant radicals. They should be with the suicide bombers and let’s see.

The first rocket attacks began in October 2001, precisely when the world was most eager to create a viable Palestinian state. They continued even after Israel pulled its army and its settlements out of Gaza in 2005. They accelerated after Hamas took power in 2006, increasing dramatically in 2007 when Israel and the Palestinian Authority resolved to renew negotiations toward a two-state solution. And the attacks were renewed in December 2008 when Hamas unilaterally declared that it would refuse to extend a period of calm that had been accepted by both sides. The sanctions that were imposed on Gaza—not only by Israel, but the world—were the direct result of Hamas’s refusal to meet the international community’s basic, reasonable demands: stop terror, recognize Israel, and respect previous agreements.
