Congrats for food programme must go Mana – Te Hamua Nikora
Posted on May 28, 2013 by admin in Press Releases, Te Hamua Nikora“Congrats must go to the MANA Movement and to the MANA Leader Hone Harawira from today’s announcement to extend the Kickstart breakfast programme” says MANA Candidate for Ikaroa-Rawhiti Te Hamua Nikora.
“Although today’s announcement doesn’t go far enough, is a step in the right direction. Let’s not forget that 70% of the country wants state-funded breakfasts in schools, rather than relying on charity”.
“All that’s needed now is one more vote to get Hone’s Feed the Kids Bill over the line so that every decile one and two kid in the country gets free breakfast and lunch. For Ikaroa-Rawhiti, that’s just under half of all Maori kids who will benefit from MANA’s policy”.

Post Author May 28, 2013 at 6:20 pmThis programme that I have heard announcements about is not what is needed. Hone is right this is not what is needed. They have to take feeding our dear children seriously instead of trying to make political gain, by implementing an inferior programme, than what is needed. But how can we expect anything different from the dolts running this country. They wouldnt even be doing it but for the pressure being put on them, apparantly, even the national party voters want them to feed the hungry kids.
