Parasites on Poverty

Mana is organizing a brief Parasites on Poverty tour of South Auckland from 1pm today. Finish at 1.40pm.
The tour will focus on pokie machines, liquor outlets and loan sharks which together are having a devastating impact on people in low-income communities. Mana has policies to deal with these menaces.
We think the public will be amazed at the goings on in the liquor industry as it brazenly and actively promotes binge drinking among teenagers while the pokies destroy families, extended families and loan sharks prey on the gap between income and the money needed for day to day survival.
The tour starts at 1pm at the Dawson Road shopping centre Otara (200m along Dawson Road from Te Irirangi Drive) Look for the Mana flag! It will proceed to the nearby Otara Shopping Centre and then finish at Otahuhu.
